Privacy

This site does not ask you for anything. There is no account to create, no form to fill in, no newsletter, and no advertising. Nothing you do here is sold or shared.

Last updated August 2026.

What this site collects from you

Nothing you type or submit, because there is nowhere to type or submit anything. The site has no sign-up, no login, no contact form, no search box, no comments, and no newsletter. It does not ask for your name, your email address, or any other personal detail.

It carries no advertising and no ad or social tracking scripts, so no advertising network builds a profile of you from your visit here. The site does measure which pages get read — see below — but that measurement holds nothing that identifies you.

Cookies and browser storage

Any cookie or browser storage the site uses exists only for the measurement described below. Nothing here is used for advertising, and nothing follows you to other websites.

Analytics and measurement

The site runs analytics. It records that a page was viewed and roughly where the visit came from, so we can tell which articles people find useful and what is worth writing next.

It does not capture personal information. No name, no email address, no account, no profile of you as an individual — nothing that identifies you. The measurement is only ever read in aggregate.

The data is never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers, and the site carries no advertising for it to feed.

Hosting and server logs

The site is served by a hosting provider, and like essentially every web host it keeps standard technical logs of requests: an IP address, a timestamp, the page requested, and your browser's user-agent string. These logs exist to keep the site running and secure. They are not used to build a profile of you, and they are not sold or shared.

Children

This site is written for adults asking questions of their own accord. It is not directed at children, and it does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Your rights over your data

Privacy laws in various places give you rights to see, correct, or delete personal data a site holds about you. There is very little to exercise them against here: the site holds no accounts, no contact details, and no profile of you, and its analytics are aggregate rather than personal.

If you would like to ask what is held — including the host's server logs — use the contact route below and we will tell you.

Changes to this policy

If what the site does changes, this page changes with it, and the “last updated” date above moves. There is no mailing list to notify, so the date is the honest signal.
